Our Methodology

Sources First

Every piece of content on Islamiqa is traced to a verifiable source. We do not publish content without attribution. Source, edition, translator, and tahqiq are displayed wherever available.

Hadith Standards

Hadith are drawn exclusively from authenticated collections: Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, and the remaining Kutubi Sitta. Grades (sahih, hasan, da'if) are shown where available from the original muhaddithun.

Quran Text

The Uthmanic Arabic text follows the Hafs recitation (the most widely read globally). Translations are sourced from verified scholarly translations — Saheeh International (EN), Mehanovic (BS), Diyanet (TR).

Tafsir

Primary tafsir source: Tafsir Ibn Kathir (Ibn Kathir, d. 774 AH). Additional tafsir layers will be added from verified classical sources only.

Library

The classical library follows a curated canon of 100 essential works across aqida, tafsir, hadith, fiqh, sira, tarikh, usul, and Arabic language. AI translation is clearly marked as AI-generated and not a substitute for scholarly translation.

What we exclude

We do not include: content from innovated sects, unverified narrations presented as authentic, polemical content, or political opinion. We follow the methodology of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah.
