Sovereign of the Day of Recompense. 1

Bojim se rođaka mojih po krvi poslije mene, a žena mi je nerotkinja, zato mi pokloni od Sebe nasljednika,

It is You we worship and You we ask for help.

da naslijedi mene i porodicu Jakubovu, i učini, Gospodaru moj, da se s njime bude zadovoljno."

Guide us to the straight path -

"O Zekerijja, javljamo ti radosnu vijest da će ti se dječak roditi, ime će mu biti Jahja, nikoga prije njemu sličnim nismo učinili."

The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have earned [Your] anger or of those who are astray.

"Gospodaru moj", reče on, "kako ću imati sina kad mi je žena nerotkinja, a već sam duboku starost doživio?"

Alif, Lām, Meem. 1

"Eto tako", reče. Gospodar tvoj je rekao: "To je meni lahko, i tebe sam ranije stvorio, a nisi ništa bio."

This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allāh 1 -

"Gospodaru moj", reče, "daj mi neki znak." "Znak će ti biti to što tri noći nećeš s ljudima razgovarati, a zdrav ćeš biti."

Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, 1 and spend out of what We 2 have provided for them,

I on izađe iz odaje svoje u kojoj se molio pred narod svoj i znakom im dade na znanje: "Veličajte Ga i slavite ujutro i navečer."

English - Saheeh International

And who believe in what has been revealed to you, [O Muḥammad], and what was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith].

Those are upon [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful.

Indeed, those who disbelieve 1 - it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe.

i roditeljima svojim bio je dobar, i nije bio drzak i neposlušan.

Allāh has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. 1 And for them is a great punishment.

And of the people are some who say, "We believe in Allāh and the Last Day," but they are not believers.

They [think to] deceive Allāh and those who believe, but they deceive not except themselves and perceive [it] not.

i od njih zaklon uzela, Mi smo k njoj Našeg meleka poslali i on joj se pokazao u ljudskom potpunom obliku.

In their hearts is disease, so Allāh has increased their disease; 1 and for them is a painful punishment because they [habitually] used to lie.

"Utječem se Svemilosnom od tebe, ako se Njega bojiš!", uzviknu ona.

English - Saheeh International

And when it is said to them, "Do not cause corruption on the earth," they say, "We are but reformers."

"A ja sam upravo izaslanik Gospodara tvoga'', reče on, "da ti poklonim dječaka čista!"

English - Saheeh International

Unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters, but they perceive [it] not.

"Kako ću imati dječaka?", reče ona, "kad me ni jedan muškarac dodirnuo nije, a ja nisam bludnica."

And when it is said to them, "Believe as the people have believed," they say, "Should we believe as the foolish have believed?" Unquestionably, it is they who are the foolish, but they know [it] not.

A on reče: "Tako je Gospodar tvoj rekao: 'To je meni lahko, i zato da ga učinimo da bude znak ljudima i milost naša.' Tako je unaprijed određeno."

English - Saheeh International

And when they meet those who believe, they say, "We believe"; but when they are alone with their evil ones, they say, "Indeed, we are with you; we were only mockers."

I ona zanese i bremenita se skloni daleko negdje.

[But] Allāh mocks them and prolongs them in their transgression [while] they wander blindly.

I porođajni bolovi prisiliše je da dođe do stabla jedne palme. "Kamo sreće da sam ranije umrla i da sam potpuno u zaborav pala!", povika ona.

Those are the ones who have purchased error [in exchange] for guidance, so their transaction has brought no profit, nor were they guided.

I on je, niže nje, zovnu: "Ne žalosti se, Gospodar tvoj dao je da niže tebe potok poteče.

English - Saheeh International

Their example is that of one who kindled a fire, but when it illuminated what was around him, Allāh took away their light and left them in darkness [so] they could not see.

Zatresi palmino stablo, posut će po tebi datule svježe,

Deaf, dumb and blind - so they will not return [to the right path].

pa jedi i pij i budi vesela! A ako vidiš čovjeka kakva, ti reci: 'Ja sam se zavjetovala Svemilosnom da ću šutjeti, i danas ni s kim neću govoriti."'

English - Saheeh International

Or [it is] like a rainstorm from the sky within which is darkness, thunder and lightning. They put their fingers in their ears against the thunderclaps in dread of death. But Allāh is encompassing 1 of the disbelievers.

I dođe ona s njim narodu svome, noseći ga. "O Merjema!'', rekoše oni, "učinila si nešto nečuveno!

English - Saheeh International

The lightning almost snatches away their sight. Every time it lights [the way] for them, they walk therein; but when darkness comes over them, they stand [still]. And if Allāh had willed, He could have taken away their hearing and their sight. Indeed, Allāh is over all things competent.

Hej ti, koja ličiš Harunu otac ti nije bio nevaljao, a ni mati tvoja nije bila bludnica!"

English - Saheeh International

O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous -

Ona im na njega pokaza. "Kako da govorimo djetetu u bešici?", rekoše oni.

English - Saheeh International

[He] who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky, rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you. So do not attribute to Allāh equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him].

English - Saheeh International

And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down [i.e., the Qur’ān] upon Our Servant [i.e., Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ)], then produce a sūrah the like thereof and call upon your witnesses [i.e., supporters] other than Allāh, if you should be truthful.

"Ja sam Allahov rob", reče on, "meni će On Knjigu dati i vjerovjesnikom me učiniti,

i učinit će me, gdje god budem, blagoslovljenim, i naredit će mi da dok god sam živ, namaz obavljam i zekat udjeljujem,

But if you do not - and you will never be able to - then fear the Fire, whose fuel is people and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.

i da majci svojoj dobar budem, a neće me učiniti silnikom, nesretnikom.

And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit therefrom, they will say, "This is what we were provided with before." And it is given to them in likeness. And they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein eternally.

I neka je sigurnost nada mnom na dan kada sam se rodio i na dan kada budem umro i na dan kad budem iz mrtvih proživljen."

Indeed, Allāh is not timid to present an example - that of a mosquito or what is smaller 1 than it. And those who have believed know that it is the truth from their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, they say, "What did Allāh intend by this as an example?" He misleads many thereby and guides many thereby. And He misleads not except the defiantly disobedient,

To je Isa, sin Merjemin, to je prava istina o njemu, onaj u koga oni sumnjaju.

Who break the covenant of Allāh after contracting it and sever that which Allāh has ordered to be joined and cause corruption on earth. It is those who are the losers.

Nezamislivo je da Allah ima dijete, Uzvišen je On! Kad nešto odredi, On za to rekne samo: "Budi!" - i ono bude.

How can you disbelieve in Allāh when you were lifeless and He brought you to life; then He will cause you to die, then He will bring you [back] to life, and then to Him you will be returned.

Allah je, uistinu, i moj i vaš Gospodar, zato u ibadetu budite samo Njemu! To je Pravi put.

It is He who created for you all of that which is on the earth. Then He directed Himself 1 to the heaven, [His being above all creation], and made them seven heavens, and He is Knowing of all things.

I grupacije među sljedbenicima Knjige su se o njemu podvojile, pa teško onima koji ne vjeruju kad budu na Danu velikom prisutni.

And [mention, O Muḥammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority." 1 They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we exalt You with praise and declare Your perfection?" 2 He [Allāh] said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know."

Kako će dobro čuti i kako će dobro vidjeti na Dan kada Nam dođu! A zulumćari su sada u očitaj zabludi!

English - Saheeh International

And He taught Adam the names - all of them. Then He showed them to the angels and said, "Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful."

I upozori ih na Dan tuge kada će biti s polaganjem računa završeno, a oni su u nemaru i oni ne vjeruju.

English - Saheeh International

They said, "Exalted are You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, it is You who is the Knowing, 1 the Wise." 2

Mi ćemo Zemlju i one koji žive na njoj naslijediti i Nama će se oni vratiti.

English - Saheeh International

He said, "O Adam, inform them of their names." And when he had informed them of their names, He said, "Did I not tell you that I know the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth? And I know what you reveal and what you have concealed."

Spomeni u Knjizi Ibrahima! On je bio istinoljubiv, vjerovjesnik.

English - Saheeh International

And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate before Adam"; so they prostrated, except for Iblees. 1 He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers.

Kada je rekao ocu svome: "O oče moj, zašto obožavaš onoga koji niti čuje niti vidi, niti ti može od kakve koristi biti?

And We said, "O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat therefrom in [ease and] abundance from wherever you will. But do not approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers."

O oče moj, meni dolazi znanje, a ne tebi; zato mene slijedi, i ja ću te na Pravi put uputiti.

But Satan caused them to slip out of it and removed them from that [condition] in which they had been. And We said, "Go down, [all of you], as enemies to one another, and you will have upon the earth a place of settlement and provision for a time."

Oče moj, ne pokoravaj se šejtanu, šejtan je Svemilosnom uvijek neposlušan;

Then Adam received from his Lord [some] words, 1 and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, it is He who is the Accepting of Repentance, 2 the Merciful.

oče moj, bojim se da te od Svemilosnog ne stigne kazna, pa da budeš šejtanu drug."

English - Saheeh International

We said, "Go down from it, all of you. And when guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows My guidance - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.

Otac njegov je rekao: "Zar mrziš božanstva moja, o Ibrahime? Ako se ne okaniš, zbilja ću te kamenjem potjerati, zato me zadugo napusti."

And those who disbelieve and deny Our signs - those will be companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally."

"Selam tebi!", reče Ibrahim. "Molit ću Gospodara svog da ti oprosti, jer On je vrlo dobar prema meni.

English - Saheeh International

O Children of Israel, remember My favor which I have bestowed upon you and fulfill My covenant [upon you] that I will fulfill your covenant [from Me], and be afraid of [only] Me.

English - Saheeh International

And believe in what I have sent down confirming that which is [already] with you, and be not the first to disbelieve in it. And do not exchange My signs for a small price, and fear [only] Me.

I napustit ću i vas i sve one kojima se mimo Allaha molite, i Gospodara svoga ću moliti; nadam se da dovom koju uputim Gospodaru mome neću razočaran biti."

And do not mix the truth with falsehood or conceal the truth while you know [it].

Pošto ih je napustio i one koje su, mimo Allaha, obožavali, Mi mu Ishaka i Jakuba darovasmo, i obojicu vjerovjesnicima učinismo,

And establish prayer and give zakāh 1 and bow with those who bow [in worship and obedience].

Zar ne vidiš da Mi šejtane na nevjernike šaljemo da ih što više na zlo navraćaju?

English - Saheeh International

Indeed, Allāh is not timid to present an example - that of a mosquito or what is smaller 1 than it. And those who have believed know that it is the truth from their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, they say, "What did Allāh intend by this as an example?" He misleads many thereby and guides many thereby. And He misleads not except the defiantly disobedient,

Zato ne traži da što prije stradaju, Mi im polahko dane odbrojavamo.

English - Saheeh International

Who break the covenant of Allāh after contracting it and sever that which Allāh has ordered to be joined and cause corruption on earth. It is those who are the losers.

How can you disbelieve in Allāh when you were lifeless and He brought you to life; then He will cause you to die, then He will bring you [back] to life, and then to Him you will be returned.

It is He who created for you all of that which is on the earth. Then He directed Himself 1 to the heaven, [His being above all creation], and made them seven heavens, and He is Knowing of all things.

And [mention, O Muḥammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority." 1 They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we exalt You with praise and declare Your perfection?" 2 He [Allāh] said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know."

And He taught Adam the names - all of them. Then He showed them to the angels and said, "Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful."

They said, "Exalted are You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, it is You who is the Knowing, 1 the Wise." 2

He said, "O Adam, inform them of their names." And when he had informed them of their names, He said, "Did I not tell you that I know the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth? And I know what you reveal and what you have concealed."

And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate before Adam"; so they prostrated, except for Iblees. 1 He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers.

And We said, "O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat therefrom in [ease and] abundance from wherever you will. But do not approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers."

But Satan caused them to slip out of it and removed them from that [condition] in which they had been. And We said, "Go down, [all of you], as enemies to one another, and you will have upon the earth a place of settlement and provision for a time."

Then Adam received from his Lord [some] words, 1 and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, it is He who is the Accepting of Repentance, 2 the Merciful.

We said, "Go down from it, all of you. And when guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows My guidance - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.

And those who disbelieve and deny Our signs - those will be companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally."

Mi smo Kur'an učinili lahkim, na tvome jeziku, da bi njime bogobojazne obradovao, a iskvarene ljude upozorio.

English - Saheeh International

O Children of Israel, remember My favor which I have bestowed upon you and fulfill My covenant [upon you] that I will fulfill your covenant [from Me], and be afraid of [only] Me.

A koliko smo samo naroda prije njih uništili! Da li ijednog od njih vidiš i da li i najslabiji glas njihov čuješ?!

English - Saheeh International

And believe in what I have sent down confirming that which is [already] with you, and be not the first to disbelieve in it. And do not exchange My signs for a small price, and fear [only] Me.
